This course is a prerequisite for all our Interpreting Programs.
Because everything starts with the basics.An interactive course on the basics of interpreting with an introduction to Community, Medical, Law Office, and Court Interpreting. The final session is a bilingual tutorial with a practicing interpreter in your language. When you are done your will have an outline of the interpreting profession/business, an idea of what an interpreter does, what you have to study and practice to become an interpreter and whether or not you want to it. On the other side we will have an idea if we will be able to help you become an interpreter. Together we will be able to plan your path forward.
