A two part exam — one hour written (code 940) and a one hour computer-delivered oral. The oral exam includes one sight translation in each direction, one bilingual consecutive interpretation and one or two English-to-test-language simultaneous interpretations.
This exam is graded to the same standard as modern court interpreter exams throughout North America. Two graders, marking on a standardized basis to assure accuracy over time, space, language and personnel. The written part tests what you know about the subject while the oral part tests what you can do. When you pass this exam no other exam should hold any surprises or fears for you.
